Sad News

It's not that I intend to make an entry every day, I don't, but I wanted to say that this is the part I really don't like about having livestock.  This is a picture of Bandit, the guard dog, "protecting" one of the little twins born yesterday.  It's dead and it's so sad watching the mother searching for it and calling for her. She knows she had two babies.  Unfortunately, I think I know who killed it.  I can't blame it on the little red fox I saw at dusk yesterday because it had not been dead for very long when I came home from work and the fox wouldn't have been out at this time.  Think it had to have been Sandy and I think it's the second one she has killed.  Not sure what to do about it.  

Now I'm going to go jump in the shower to try to rid myself of the little seed ticks I'm sure are crawling around looking for a nice, juicy spot to dig in.  Had to go through some brush taking the lamb to the "burying tree."   I REALLY don't like ticks!
