There I was.

I had just run into the grocery store and there I was in the produce section when a young woman with a shopping basket came up to me and said that she "saw me before I came in."  I said oh, out in the parking lot?  No, she was inside and she "saw" me, or rather the sweater I had on, before I came into the store.  (And, actually, I'm fine with things like that.) She asked me if I was okay and I assured her that I was and then politely inquired about her, wondering who this person was and if I was supposed to know her from somewhere.

She then said she usually doesn't get visions unless she is supposed to pray for someone and asked me again if I was sure I was okay and not in any pain.  I told her that as far as I knew, I was just fine.  Then I started thinking, "am I really okay," remembering that I had been bothered by a slight crick in my neck for a couple of weeks, but since that was from shoveling heavy cow patties out of the barn hadn't thought too much about it. So I smiled and went on my way.

We were sort of on the same path through the store and kept seeing each other and just nodded and smiled.  Then, there I was in the bulk foods department and low and behold there she was, coming up to me and saying again that she really thought she was supposed to pray for me.  I finally said, do I know you, what do you do (thinking she worked there or something).  No, I don't know her, she prays and would I mind if she went ahead and prayed for me because even thought I didn't have any problems or pain now perhaps it was for something that will happen in the future (try not wondering about that one!).

Maybe if I had been in Harps or Safeway I might have been a little leery but, hey, I was in the Ozark Natural Foods store and all sorts of interesting people shop there.  I told her she could (pray for me) and thought she would just put me on a prayer list or something, but she meant right then and there.  I asked her how she wanted to go about it and she said she would just take my hand and pray.  So there I was standing in the bulk foods with a bag of almonds in one hand while she held the other one and said a very nice prayer.  I said amen, thank you and headed for the dairy case.

One last encounter was at the "prepared food" area and she told me how she had been very ill with heavy metals, went on basically an all green diet and miraculously was healed about six months ago.  She explained that the diet didn't heal her, that God did, through the diet.  We chatted a while longer, I bought some salsa she said was good and then headed to check out.

It's not every day that something like that happens and I just wanted to get it recorded so decided to blog it.

As requested -- update on Jasmine.  Gave her a CDT shot this evening to prevent tetanus and her ear (or ear pieces) seems to be healing okay.
